Dear community members and leaders,
In July we enjoyed meeting with many of you at our Break to Educate series themed “The Realities of Homelessness in the Treasure Valley.” In the first part, we learned about the myths of homelessness and heard from Jodie Peterson-Stigers about efforts that Interfaith and other emergency shelters are making in the Treasure Valley. We also had a chance to briefly discuss other community partners’ collaborative efforts, challenges, and innovations to help the affordable housing crisis in the Treasure Valley.
The next event in the series is titled “Exploring Ways to Enhance Community Collaboration.” We would like to invite you to come and be a part of the conversation. We will hear from many community partners about their agency’s efforts to address homelessness, and then we’ll explore ways we can work together as one partner to serve our vulnerable citizens.
Join us: Thursday, October 5, 2023 from 10:30am – 12:00pm at Casey Family Programs (6441 W. Emerald Street in Boise).
We hope to see you in October! Please reply to nplowman@lcsnw.org if you plan to attend in person or remotely (We will send the link closer to the event).
Sincerely,
Linda Miller & Natasha Plowman, Lutheran Community Services Northwest
